FOODSERVICE Prepared Food / Hot, Cold, Frozen Dispensed Beverages 53.6 percent offer full-touch, made-to-order foodservice programs; and 42.9 percent offer some-touch products that are assembled on-site or thawed and served. Although consumers are increasingly recognizing the quality and variety of foodservice items c-stores offer all day long, it's clear they are taking advantage of the convenience aspect. Looking at single-store foodservice sales by daypart, more than half of the sales are made during lunch (11 a.m.-1:59 p.m.) or breakfast (6 a.m.-8:59 a.m.), at 35.2 percent and 23.3 percent respectively, when people are most likely to be in a rush before work or on a meal break. Lunch is a more popular daypart for single stores than for chain-owned stores, the research high- lighted, as 28.3 percent of foodservice sales occur at lunchtime for chains. Breakfast and lunch were also the dayparts that showed the biggest year-over-year sales growth in 2015. But notably, while dinner daypart sales lag be- hind breakfast and lunch industrywide, the growth of dinner sales at single stores is far ahead that of chains.
